West Side Costa Mesa has long been the forgotten “step child’ in the view of our local government.
Many other civic groups have formed. Some have become a strong political voice in how local civic resources are allocated and spent.
Here on the Westside, this "voice" doesn’t exist.
In creating a coalition of interested homeowners, vested businesses, and concerned citizens ,we could create a forum where issues and ideas can be presented and addressed.
This could be a non-partisan, open arena, where invited speakers would present topics directly affecting our community.
It could provide a platform to bolster and promote local events and community organizations.
While it wouldn’t guarantee , all the problems facing the Westside would disappear.
It would change the way our local government hears about those problems and concerns.
